Australian authorities appeal for public help in tracking fugitives linked to organised crime as investigations intensify.
New South Wales Police detectives have released fresh images of several wanted men believed to have fled the country, urging the public to come forward with any information on their whereabouts.
The appeal, issued on Monday by the State Crime Command, targets individuals with outstanding warrants related to organised crime offences. Police believe the men are currently offshore.
Public appeal for information:
Detectives say releasing the names and images is a key step in advancing their investigations. Authorities are particularly interested in details about the men’s movements, current locations, or any associates who may be assisting them.
“Information about their movements or current location may be critical to progressing these investigations,” police said in a statement.
The wanted individuals are linked to serious organised crime activities, though specific charges or the exact number of suspects have not been detailed in the public appeal.
NSW Police Launch Global Hunt for Wanted Fugitives:
The move reflects a broader effort by Australian law enforcement to pursue criminals who attempt to evade justice by leaving the country. NSW Police, often in coordination with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and international partners like Interpol, have successfully tracked and extradited several high-profile fugitives in recent years.
This latest appeal comes amid continued focus on transnational organised crime, including drug trafficking, money laundering, and gang-related violence that has plagued parts of Sydney and regional New South Wales.
Police have emphasised that anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers or local detectives, with assurances that tips can be provided anonymously.
Members of the public who recognise any of the individuals in the released images are urged not to approach them but to immediately contact authorities.
