Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran has gained significant military experience from recent clashes.

iran has issued a stern warning to the United States, stating that any resumption of military hostilities would result in “many more surprises” for American and Israeli forces, as tensions remain high following a fragile pause in recent confrontations.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran’s armed forces had drawn important lessons from previous rounds of conflict, claiming they were the first to shoot down a US F-35 fighter jet.

“With lessons learned and knowledge we gained, return to war will feature many more surprises,” Araghchi wrote.

Trump Threatens New Strikes as Iran-US Tensions Rise:

The remarks come after US President Donald Trump threatened fresh military strikes and reportedly gave Iran a short window of “two to three days” to reach a new agreement on its nuclear programme and regional activities. Trump has also claimed he was close to ordering new attacks on Iranian targets before pausing operations.

Iranian officials have repeatedly asserted that their military has demonstrated resilience and inflicted significant losses on US and Israeli assets during the recent escalation, including strikes in the Strait of Hormuz region and air defence operations.

Iran-US Tensions Persist Amid Fragile Regional Calm:

The warning reflects Tehran’s strategy of projecting strength while diplomatic efforts continue in the background. Iranian leaders have insisted they will not yield to pressure but remain open to negotiations that respect Iran’s sovereignty and right to develop its nuclear programme for civilian purposes.

The United States and Israel, however, accuse Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons and supporting proxy groups across the region-charges Tehran strongly denies.

Regional analysts say the exchange of threats highlights the precarious nature of the current lull in hostilities. Any miscalculation could rapidly reignite direct confrontation between Iran and the US-Israel alliance, with serious implications for oil markets, global shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, and stability across the Middle East.

No immediate response from the US State Department or White House was available at the time of reporting.
