Strike hits rooftop of residential building in Al-Rimal neighbourhood amid continued violations of ceasefire.
Three Palestinians were wounded on Tuesday when an Israeli drone struck the rooftop of a residential building in Gaza City, local medical sources and Palestinian officials said.
The attack targeted a multi-storey building belonging to the Al-Koulak family on Al-Wehda Street in the Al-Rimal neighbourhood, west of Gaza City. Gaza’s Ambulance and Emergency Services reported that the three injured people were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital for treatment. No further details were immediately available on the severity of their injuries.
Fresh Attack Reported in Gaza City:
The Palestinian news agency WAFA described the incident as another Israeli attack on a civilian residential area. Israeli forces have continued to carry out strikes across the Gaza Strip despite a ceasefire agreement that took effect in October 2025.
Al-Rimal is a densely populated district in western Gaza City that has repeatedly come under fire during periods of escalated violence. Residents and local journalists say the area, like much of the enclave, remains under constant threat even after the formal halt to full-scale fighting.
Palestinian health authorities and emergency services have documented a steady pattern of Israeli drone and air attacks on homes, civilian gatherings and displacement sites since the ceasefire began. Medics say these strikes have caused ongoing casualties among non-combatants, including women and children, while also damaging already fragile infrastructure.
Israel has routinely stated that its operations target militants affiliated with Hamas or other armed groups and has claimed that it takes measures to avoid civilian harm. International organisations have repeatedly called for full adherence to the ceasefire terms and for unimpeded humanitarian access. They warn that isolated strikes on civilian neighbourhoods risk further eroding any remaining trust in the truce and could push the enclave back towards wider confrontation.
As of Tuesday evening, there was no immediate comment from the Israeli military on the specific strike in Al-Rimal. Local emergency teams continued to monitor the area while the three wounded Palestinians remained under medical care at Al-Shifa Hospital.
