United States President Donald Trump has declared that American military forces stationed in and around Iran will stay in position until Tehran fully complies with what he called a “REAL AGREEMENT,” warning that any violation would trigger a response “bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before.”
Trump stated that US ships, aircraft, and personnel-reinforced with additional ammunition and weaponry-would remain deployed “until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with.” He added that the US military is “loading up and resting, looking forward, actually, to its next conquest,” ending with the phrase “AMERICA IS BACK!”
The remarks came hours after Washington and Tehran agreed to a fragile two-week ceasefire, following more than a month of intense military exchanges that severely damaged Iranian infrastructure, including missile sites and air defences. The truce is conditional on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil shipping route that Iran had threatened to disrupt.

Iranian officials have pushed back against the characterisation. Tehran has described the US and Israeli actions as aggression and insisted that its forces, while hit hard, retain significant defensive capabilities. Iranian media and analysts accused Trump’s language of undermining the ceasefire even as indirect talks-reportedly to be hosted in Pakistan-are being prepared.
The ceasefire, announced earlier this week, followed intense backchannel diplomacy involving several countries. It provides a short window for negotiations aimed at a longer-term arrangement covering Iran’s nuclear programme, missile capabilities, and regional influence.

The comments also come against the backdrop of ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah positions. Some analysts suggest Trump’s strong rhetoric serves a dual purpose: maintaining pressure on Iran while signalling to regional actors that Washington remains firmly committed to its allies and strategic interests.
