Iranian missiles struck central Tel Aviv early on 24 March 2026, injuring six people amid ongoing sirens and explosions in the 2026 war.

Iranian Missiles Strike Central Tel Aviv, Injuring Six Amid Escalating War:

Iranian missiles slammed into central Tel Aviv early Monday, injuring six people and triggering widespread panic as air-raid sirens wailed and explosions lit up the skyline. The barrage, part of Tehran’s ongoing retaliation in the three-week-old conflict, caused significant damage to buildings and vehicles in a densely populated area, with emergency crews rushing to multiple impact sites.

The strike comes as diplomatic tensions soar and fears of wider regional chaos intensify, highlighting how quickly the war has spread from energy infrastructure to major Israeli cities.

Tel Aviv Hit in Latest Iranian Barrage:

Sirens sounded across Tel Aviv and surrounding areas shortly after midnight, followed by loud explosions. Footage circulating on social media showed bright flashes and plumes of smoke rising from residential and commercial zones. Rescue teams in high-visibility gear were seen searching rubble and cordoning off affected streets, with a damaged white sedan visible in one impact zone.

This is the latest in a series of Iranian missile attacks on Israeli population centres since the war began. Earlier strikes targeted southern towns near the Dimona nuclear facility, injuring over 100, but Monday’s barrage marks a direct hit on Tel Aviv itself.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened an emergency security meeting and vowed a strong response. “Iran will pay a heavy price for targeting civilians,” he stated.

Escalation, Casualties and Economic Heartland Hit:

The 2026 Iran war started on 28 February with US-Israeli pre-emptive strikes that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. It rapidly expanded to include Iranian attacks on Gulf energy sites and Israeli cities. The conflict has already caused more than 1,400 deaths regionally and driven oil prices above $105 a barrel amid fears of a Strait of Hormuz closure.

Tel Aviv, Israel’s economic and cultural heart, has seen multiple near-misses and debris-related incidents in recent barrages. Iranian state media described the strikes as retaliation for Israeli actions against Iranian nuclear and energy infrastructure.
